Our rental house in the Canberra suburb of Amaroo. We are particularly fond of the fake grass (which is becoming popular due to the drought conditions and water restrictions).

“Larry” the Black Swan comes regularly for a handout.
On September 22, the skies turned red with dust swept up from the central Australian outback. It lasted for over a day and covered much of the eastern third of the continent in a fine layer of red dust (which is still on our patio).
