New Zealand Day 7

Today was our last full day in New Zealand.  Our only activity was to drive from Queenstown back to Christchurch via the west coast.  We had chosen this longer route to see more of the mountains and the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers.  Unfortunately clouds rolled in before we made it to the glaciers.  The few scenic pictures we did get are included below.

The kids were up early and eager to see the Queenstown sunrise.
Just a few minutes out of Queenstown we stopped at a scenic overlook.
A few more minutes down the road we came across the town of Wanaka. This is a view of southern Lake Wanaka from the town.
We continued on into Mount Aspiring National Park and saw quite a lot of scenery like this.
This distant snow-covered peak turned out to be the only snowy mountains we saw before the clouds rolled in for the remainder of the drive.
This is pretty indicative of what we saw during the remainder of the drive.
