Goodbye, Australia

On our last day in Australia we visited Weston Park to see wild kangaroos one last time.  Those of you who remember our Exploring Canberra post from 2009 may recognize Weston Park is where we first saw kangaroos after arriving in Australia.  This time there were a few small mobs of around 30-40 kangaroos.  Here are just a few of the more photogenic ones (remember you may click on each one to open a larger version).

Here is the center of the mob with Parliament’s giant flagpole visible in the distance.
This mama found a good spot to scratch.
And this joey needs to scratch too.
Sometimes you just need to bite that itchy spot.
Is it just me or do their heads remind you of a llama?
Here’s one with a joey weighing down her pouch.
One final shot with a large boomer on the left.
